1. About this promotion
1.1This promotion (the “Promotion”) is run by Venture (Venture Insurance Brokers Limited, Venture Mortgage Brokers Limited and Venture Private Wealth Limited, together “Venture”, the “Promoter”, “we” or “us”) to introduce Venture’s services to tenants of properties managed by Inspire Real Estate (“Inspire”).
1.2The Promotion is run as a free-entry prize draw (a sales promotion scheme). No payment or purchase is required to enter or to win.
1.3By entering, you accept these terms and conditions, which govern the Promotion. If you do not accept them, please do not enter.
2. Definitions
“Advice Area” means each of: (a) mortgage & lending; (b) insurance; and (c) KiwiSaver & wealth.
“Entrant” / “you” means an individual who meets the eligibility criteria in clause 4 and enters in accordance with these terms.
“Fact-find” means completing our information-gathering process for an Advice Area in enough detail for us to assess your situation and prepare an option, quote or recommendation for you.
“Promotion Period” means the period set out in clause 3.
“Valid Entry” means an entry that meets all requirements of these terms.
3. Promotion period
3.1The Promotion opens at 12:00am on 25 August 2026 and closes at 11:59pm on 25 November 2026 (New Zealand time) (the “Promotion Period”).
3.2Only Fact-finds completed within the Promotion Period count. We are not responsible for entries that are late, lost, incomplete, or not received for any reason.
4. Who can enter
4.1Entry is open to individuals who, at the time of entry: (a) are aged 18 years or over; (b) are ordinarily resident in New Zealand; and (c) are a tenant of a property managed by Inspire who has received this offer.
4.2The following are not eligible: employees, officers, contractors and agents of Venture and Inspire (and of any company in the same group), anyone professionally connected with the Promotion, and the immediate families and household members of any of them.
4.3You may only enter as yourself. You may not enter on behalf of another person. Entries made by or through third parties, syndicates, or automated means are not valid.
4.4We may require you to verify your identity, age and residency before an entry is treated as a Valid Entry or a prize is paid.
5. How to enter
5.1You enter by completing a Fact-find with us in one or more Advice Areas during the Promotion Period:
- Mortgage & lending
- Insurance
- KiwiSaver & wealth
5.2Registering interest, booking an appointment, or making initial contact is not, by itself, an entry. You must complete at least a Fact-find in the relevant Advice Area.
5.3Where financial advice services are provided, Venture’s standard onboarding, disclosure and advice processes will continue to apply.
5.4Prior to completing the Fact-find, entrants will be informed that completion of the Fact-find constitutes entry into the Promotion and that these Terms and Conditions apply.
6. Number of entries
6.1You receive one (1) Valid Entry for each Advice Area in which you complete a Fact-find: one Advice Area = 1 entry; two Advice Areas = 2 entries; all three Advice Areas = 3 entries.
6.2Completing more than one Fact-find in the same Advice Area still counts as one (1) entry for that Advice Area.
6.3The maximum number of entries per person is three (3), regardless of how many times you engage with us.
7. No purchase necessary — no obligation
7.1No purchase or payment is necessary to enter or to win. Entry is free. You do not need to buy, take up or proceed with any product, policy, loan or service to receive an entry or to be eligible to win.
7.2Whether or not you take up any recommendation, option or quote has no effect on your entry, your number of entries, or your chance of winning.
7.3Completing a Fact-find, or receiving any option, quote or recommendation from us, places you under no obligation to proceed. You are free to accept or decline any recommendation or quote.
8. Financial advice and conduct
8.1Any financial advice we provide is given under Venture’s licence(s) issued by the Financial Markets Authority under the Financial Markets Conduct Act 2013, in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct for Financial Advice Services and our disclosure obligations. Where financial advice is provided, the required disclosure information will be provided at the time required by law.
8.2The Promotion does not influence the advice we give. Your number of entries depends only on the Advice Areas you engage with us on — not on any product you buy — and our advice is based on your needs and circumstances.
8.3This document and the Promotion contain general information only and are not personalised financial advice.
8.4Complaints relating to the Promotion may be made to Venture using the contact details provided. Complaints relating to financial advice services will be managed in accordance with Venture’s internal complaints process and external dispute resolution arrangements.
9. The prize
9.1There is one (1) prize: NZ$5,000 in cash, paid by direct bank transfer to a New Zealand bank account held in the winner’s name.
9.2The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged. No substitute or alternative will be offered, except that we may substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the stated prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our reasonable control.
9.3The winner is responsible for any tax or other liability arising from receiving the prize.
10. The draw
10.1The draw takes place after the Promotion has closed and all entries have been received. All Valid Entries go into a single draw and the winner is selected entirely at random, with every Valid Entry having an equal chance of being drawn.
10.2The draw will be held on [draw date] at Venture’s offices at [address], using a genuinely random method. [Optional: state whether an independent person will witness the draw.]
11. Notifying and paying the winner
11.1We will attempt to notify the winner by phone within [five (5)] business days of the draw, using the contact details provided during the Fact-find.
11.2The winner must respond and confirm their eligibility within [10] business days of first being contacted. If the winner cannot be contacted, does not respond in time, is ineligible, or declines the prize, we may forfeit that entry and draw another winner. This may be repeated until the prize is awarded or until [long-stop date].
11.3We will pay the prize within [10] business days of verifying the winner’s eligibility and bank account details.
12. Publicity
12.1By accepting the prize, the winner agrees that we may publish their first name and general region (for example, “Aroha, Auckland”) to announce the result.
12.2We will not publish any further personal details, images or statements without the winner’s consent. Any publicity will comply with the Privacy Act 2020.
13. Verification and disqualification
13.1We may verify any entry and require reasonable proof of identity, age, residency and completion of a Fact-find.
13.2We may disqualify any entry that is incomplete, does not meet these terms, or that we reasonably believe involves fraud, misrepresentation, or an attempt to manipulate the Promotion.
13.3Our decisions on all matters relating to the Promotion are final, and we will not enter into correspondence about them.
14. Privacy and communications
14.1Personal information will only be collected, used and disclosed for the purposes of administering the Promotion, providing financial advice services, complying with legal obligations and any other purpose authorised by the entrant.
14.2We collect and hold the personal information you provide to carry out the Fact-find, provide advice, administer the Promotion, verify eligibility, and contact and pay the winner.
14.3Your information may be shared with Inspire and with our service providers for these purposes. We hold and use personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 and our Privacy Policy (available at venture.co.nz). You may ask to access or correct your information at any time.
14.4Entering the Promotion does not sign you up to marketing. We will only send you marketing communications if you separately agree, and you can opt out at any time.
15. Liability
15.1To the extent permitted by law, Venture and Inspire are not liable for any loss, damage, cost or expense arising from your participation in the Promotion, the awarding or use of the prize, or any technical fault, delay or failure affecting entries or the draw.
15.2Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
15.3We are not responsible for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
16. Changes to the promotion
16.1We do not intend to change these terms once the Promotion has started. We may only amend, suspend or cancel the Promotion or these terms where required by law or by a regulator, or where necessary due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If we do, we will act fairly and, where practicable, notify entrants.
17. General
17.1These terms are the entire terms of the Promotion.
17.2If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply.
17.3These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and the New Zealand courts have exclusive jurisdiction.
17.4Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
